These Mini Berry and Oat Muffin Balls are a nutritious snack for little ones, combining fibre-rich oats, antioxidant-packed berries, protein from eggs, and naturally sweet banana. Their soft texture makes them easy to eat and perfect for practising self-feeding skills, while providing wholesome energy for growing bodies.

Ingredients

½ cup rolled oats
½ cup plain flour
½ tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
½ ripe banana, mashed
1 tbsp sugar free maple syrup (or honey)
1 egg
2 tbsp milk
1 tbsp melted butter or coconut oil
¼ tsp vanilla extract
1 cup mixed berries

Directions

Preheat oven to 180°C.
Mix oats, flours, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
In another bowl, combine berries, mashed banana, honey, egg, milk, butter and vanilla.
Stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined.
Let the mixture rest for 5 minutes.
Spoon into the Cherub Baby silicone freezer trays.
Bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden.
Cool for a few minutes before eating.
