Ingredients

2½ cups of zucchini, washed and diced into small cubes (no need to peel)

1 - 2 ripe bananas (depending on size), peeled and roughly chopped

½ cup of water for steaming and blending

¼ breast milk or formula – optional for a more creamy texture
Directions
Peel and roughly chop the ripe banana(s);
Wash and chop the zucchini into small cubes;
Using the steaming function on your steamer blender steam the zucchini cubes for approximately 10 - 12 minutes or until soft;
Take out the basket(s) and remove the water (keep water to one side);
Place the chopped banana and the soft zucchini into the jug of your steamer blender and blend until you reach the desired consistency (smooth for younger babies, leave more coarse for older babies).
Add small amounts of the saved water, breast milk or formula for a creamier texture;
Portion into reusable baby food pouches;
Serve with a food pouch spoon!
Use immediately, or freeze for a minimum of 24 hours. The puree can be kept frozen for a maximum of 3 months.

Bananas are rich in potassium, vitamins B6, C and B2, contain calcium and iron, and no cholesterol or sodium. They give a naturally sweet and creamy texture to any puree combination and are the perfect first food for young babies.
Zucchini is a mild tasting vegetable that contains most of the nutrients that a baby needs.This vegetable contains vitamin A, which is great for bone growth and the immune system. Plus it is a rich source of potassium and magnesium. It makes an excellent addition to a baby’s diet, right from an early age.
Best for babies aged +6 months, and not before 4 months.
When?
Babies are recommended to start on solids around 6 months but not before 4 months. Make sure your baby is showing signs they are ready for solids and that you introduce one food at a time initially. After that you are welcome to mix other fruits or veggies with this recipe!
